The spirit
We’re here for one thing: helping each other find genuinely good prices, without the noise. Be the kind of member you’d want around, generous, honest and kind. That’s the whole game.
What makes a great deal post
- It’s genuinely good. A real saving you’d happily tell a friend about.
- The price is honest. No inflated “was” prices, no made-up discounts.
- It’s useful. Add the helpful bits: sizes in stock, delivery costs, the catch, whether it’s the lowest it’s been.
- It links somewhere safe. A direct link to a legitimate retailer, not a sketchy reseller.
Do
- Share real deals: things you’d actually recommend, with honest prices and details.
- Hi-five generously: it’s how good deals rise for everyone. Pass on the ones that aren’t for you.
- Add useful context: the gotchas, the stock, the small print that helps the next person.
- Disagree well: about the deal, never the person.
- Report problems: flag expired, fake or rule-breaking posts so we can sort them quickly.
Don’t
- No fake or misleading deals: inflated “was” prices, dead links, or made-up discounts.
- No spam or self-promotion: no referral-link farming, drop-shipping, or posting to pump your own shop.
- No ranking manipulation: no fake accounts, vote rings or anything that games the hi-five score.
- No hate, harassment or abuse: zero tolerance for attacks on people or protected groups.
- No illegal, unsafe or infringing content: including counterfeit goods, or anyone’s private information.
Posting as a business
Love that you want to share your own offers, but deals.community isn’t a free advertising channel. If you’re a retailer or brand, don’t post your own deals as if you’re an ordinary member. Instead, request to get listedand we’ll surface your genuinely good prices the honest way. Undisclosed self-promotion gets removed.
Everyone’s equal here
How moderation works
Posts pass automated safety checks for spam and abuse, reports from members surface problems early, and a person reviews anything consequential. Depending on severity we may add context, hide or remove content, or limit or close accounts. We aim to be fair and proportionate, and to favour a quiet word over a heavy hand, but persistent or serious breaches end in a ban. Breaching this code is also a breach of our terms.
Reporting & appeals
See something off? Use the report option on any deal or comment, or email policies@deals.communityfor anything serious or illegal, and we’ll act quickly. Moderation is human, so if a decision seems wrong, reply to us or email the same address and a different person will take another look.
