1. About these terms & who we are
deals.community is operated by Analogue Media Limited, a company registered in England & Wales (company number 15991972), registered office 86-90 Paul Street, London, England, EC2A 4NE. By using the site or creating an account you agree to these terms, our privacy policy and our community code of conduct, which together form the agreement between us. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
2. What deals.community is
We’re a community deals board for the UK. Members and our team surface genuinely good prices, and the community ranks them by hi-fiving the best. A deal listing is information to help you decide, not an offer for sale by us.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 16 and provide accurate sign-in details.
- Your account is for you alone. You’re responsible for activity on it, so keep access to your email secure.
- You can delete your account anytime from Privacy & your data.
4. Community content
When you post a deal, comment or other content, you keep ownership. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, adapt for formatting, and distribute that content on and in connection with the platform (including in feeds, alerts and previews) for as long as you keep it posted. You confirm you have the right to grant this and that your contributions are accurate to the best of your knowledge and follow our code of conduct. We may edit, hide or remove content, and limit or close accounts, to keep the community safe and useful.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- post spam, fake or misleading deals, malware, or content that’s unlawful, hateful or infringing;
- scrape, copy, overload, probe or disrupt the service, or get around its security or rate limits;
- manipulate rankings (for example fake accounts or vote rings), impersonate others, or post on behalf of a business without disclosing it.
6. Deals, prices & availability
We work hard to keep listings accurate, but prices, stock and offers change constantly and are controlled by the retailer, not us. Treat every price and detail as “accurate at the time of posting” and always check the final price, specification and terms on the retailer’s own site before you buy.
7. Buying from retailers, and your consumer rights
Because your purchase is a contract between you and the retailer, your consumer rights (such as returns, refunds, faulty goods and delivery) are against that retailer, under their terms and UK consumer law. We can’t process orders, payments, returns or refunds, and we’re not responsible for what a retailer does. If a listing here is wrong or a retailer behaves badly, please report it so we can fix the listing and warn others.
8. Affiliate links & how we make money
Some outbound links are affiliate links: if you buy after clicking, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate and an Awin publisher we earn from qualifying purchases. This is how we keep the site free and ad-free.
9. Intellectual property
The deals.community name, logo, design and original content are owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, revocable, non-transferable licence to use the site for its intended purpose. Product names, logos and imagery belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify deals.
10. Reporting content & intellectual-property complaints
Spotted something that breaks the rules? Use the report option on the deal or comment, or email policies@deals.community. If you believe content here infringes your intellectual property, email us with the content’s location, what right is infringed and your contact details, and we’ll review and act promptly.
11. Availability, disclaimers & liability
We provide the site “as is” and aim for high availability, but we can’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or suspend features. To the extent permitted by law, we’re not liable for losses arising from reliance on a listing, a retailer’s acts or omissions, or the site being unavailable, and we’re not liable for indirect or unforeseeable losses.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. If you use the site as a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
12. Suspension & ending things
You can stop using the site and delete your account anytime. We may suspend or close accounts, or remove content, that breach these terms or the code of conduct, or where we reasonably need to protect the community or comply with the law.
13. Changes
We may update these terms as the service evolves. We’ll change the date above and, for material changes, give reasonable notice. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
14. General
- If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
- Our not enforcing a term isn’t a waiver of it.
- We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms (for example if the business is sold); your rights are unaffected.
- We’re not responsible for failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
- You’re responsible for the content you post. If something you post breaks these terms or infringes someone else’s rights and that leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable, direct costs, except to the extent it was our fault. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
- These terms, the privacy policy and the code of conduct are the whole agreement between us.
15. Governing law & complaints
These terms are governed by the law of England & Wales. Court proceedings can be brought in the courts of England & Wales; if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring proceedings in your own local courts. We don’t currently use a certified alternative dispute resolution provider, but we’ll always try to resolve a complaint directly first, so email policies@deals.community.
